Workshops, Masterclasses and Training Plans

Workshops

Just like the participants of the workshops, they can come in all shapes and sizes.

Open box – we bring the circus props, you bring the participants. A freestyle form of class where students are free to choose what they want to practise, and the instructors move around the room, helping as they go.

Taster sessions – 2-6 different skills taught back to back, with the aim of giving a well-rounded view of what is achievable in each skill with a bit of practice.

Weekly or block classes – An opportunity to really get stuck in to the technical side of your chosen skill and also learn some performance skills for presenting your prop. Often involving a performance or sharing at the end of the block.

Workshops are tailored to meet each group’s needs and requirements. From birthday parties to team-building days at your office, a circus workshop always brings an amazing energy to the room.

Masterclasses

Ready to take your art form to the next level? Iain has been an avid hobbyist for the past 18 years. During this journey, he has gained an understanding that the learning, presenting and teaching of an art form are all different skills. Teaching requires both an understanding of the chosen subject and a healthy respect that your interpretation is only one path to achieving a skill.

A typical Masterclass will last 2-4 hours, with a 30 minute planning meeting beforehand. It will be tailored to your chosen goals within your art form, helping to refresh your fundamentals and strengthen their link to the more advanced parts of your art form. After the class, you will receive a recap video or document of everything that we cover in the class and a training plan to help you progress to your chosen goals.

Masterclasses available in Ball Juggling, Club Juggling, Poi Juggling, Poi Spinning, Staff Spinning, Double Staff Spinning, Plate Spinning, Contact Staff, Contact Ball, Fire Spinning, Clowning, Performance Practice, Parkour and General Fitness in relation to circus

Training Plans

At the start of a skill, half the fun is figuring out how to learn new tricks and the best way to go about it. As we progress through our art forms, this aspect of our training takes more and more work as we progress to more complex skills.

A custom training plan tailored to your goals can halve the time it takes to learn a new skill and give you a much more well-rounded path to the final outcome.

All training plans are tailored to the individual and involve a 1 hour planning meeting and a revision if you feel it does not meet your needs.
